Mission Statement

Waikato Waldorf School provides an engaging education that affirms children as individuals. The school's principles are based on the educational ideas of Rudolf Steiner.

Our Values

Students, parents, caregivers, staff and the wider community of Waikato Waldorf School will find an ethos underpinned by 'whakaaro kotahi', a Maaori concept given clear meaning in the saying:

Whakaaro kotahi to tatou mea nui. Oneness is our greatest strength.

Our ethos recognises the following core values:

  • Responsiveness
  • Respect
  • Reverence
  • Inclusiveness
  • Integrity

What every parent would wish as the best for his or her children, Waldorf education provides. The fullest development of intelligent, imaginative, self-confident, and caring persons is the aim of Waldorf education. The aim is solidly grounded in a comprehensive view of human development, in an intellectually rich curriculum, and in the presence of knowledgeable caring human beings at every stage of the child's education.
